Once a quaint farmhouse built in 1867, this historic building has been transformed into a charming restaurant, blending its rustic heritage with culinary delights. It now welcomes guests to enjoy a unique dining experience in a setting rich with character. Nestled in the heart of the Shires shopping village, this eatery celebrates both its deep-rooted history and the joy of family or friend gatherings over delicious meals.

The site of Heart of the Shires was in fact once called ‘Home Farm’ and belonged to the Thornton family, who lived in the hall at Brockhall; an elegant Grade II listed Jacobean Hall set in 14 acres of parkland that was built around 1617. The farm and its land was purchased by the Brodie family in the early 1900s and remained in that family until the early eighties, when the site was converted into its current usage, by John Wilson.
